Halloween Anniversary

Well Here I am after what seems along time away from my blog!

Friends have got me onto facebook, so I spend many a night now chatting with friends, but also my photo printer has packed up, so as at the moment I can't print any photo's off to use for scrapbooking. I can only download them onto laptop.
Good news though and I have ordered a new all in one photo printer that I can use for my camera and for the laptop...yippeee hopefully it will be here by next week.
This card is one that my friend asked me to make for her parents Anniversary, but it is slightly different then your usual ones as there anniversary was on halloween so she wanted it with a halloween theme. There is nothing more that I like when making cards is a good challenge.

Here it is and yes they were very pleased with the card, in fact they loved it!

Bye Bye Carly!

This is a Lo that I have started and finished today. I only decided to do this on Monday, frame it and give it to Carly on Thursday night, when we Pet shop Girls go out for a meal.

The hardest part was getting photo's of every one. This I finally managed and received the last photo only half an hour ago. The actual photo of Carly (in the middle) was kindly got with out her knowing and it was a passport photo, which I had to then take a photo of and enlarge.

We are a good bunch at the pet shop, and sadly Carly left 2 weeks ago, I made her a lovely leaving card and we all got her a present.

Tomorrow night we all go out for a meal in our local Indian so I decided to do a LO of all of us so she can remember us, and I framed it as a surprise gift. Hope she likes it.

Sleeping Kitty!

This is a lo of our cat Tessie that I have recently done.

We got Tessie from our local rspca centre at Claverton Down at Bath about 9 years ago.

We saw this tiny cute little Kitten that we wanted, so they put her ina box ready while we filled in some forms. When we got home we opened the box and there was Tessie and not the cat we had originally choose, but she was so sweet we couldn't of sent her back.
Here she is 9 years later while having a snooze!! I was lucky enough to even get her to wake up for a quick minute for a photo.

This is a Lo I have done of my son Nathan. The photo's was taken when we stayed at Jane's in the summer.

Nathan decided to use the folded up mattress as a pillow and just chill out while playing his Nintendo ds, his favourite thing is to play on it at any time of day for hours and hours!

Arty Girlz Challenge - Autumn

This is my Lo for this weeks challenge which is Autumn.

The Photo is of our dog Fimble, when I took her for a walk earlier in the week. I sometimes take her down to Corsham Park, where there is open fields and a large lake. In the summer months sometimes they have people sailing on the lake, and it is very pretty mid autumn when all the trees are going red and the leaves are crispy.

It is also very pretty when it is frosty or when it has snowed.

For the background paper I used some leaf paper that I have from a nature kit and I punched out lots of leaves from 5 different shades of green.

I want to live here!!

This is a Lo that I done last night, it has some great photo's that I took when we went to Torquay on holiday.

Torquay is a fantastic place with lots to do for every one. Shopping, parks, sea, beach, funfair and so much more.
I try to capture as many things as I could for this Lo, but there was so many I would,'t be able to fit them all on one page.

2 New Cards

I have made 2 cards tonight. The first is for my cousin Anne who had her first baby about 3 weeks ago. We are going to see her and baby Alice Elizabeth tomorrow for the first time.
The other card is for my husbands cousins birthday later on in the month. I am pleased with them both, which is good as the other night I made 2 cards and was disappointed with them both.

I think where I had a 3 week break from making cards I had gone a bit rusty....but looks like I am back on track now.

Chloe's 1st Lo

This is a Lo that my daughter Chloe has done. She is 5 years old and she loved this photo of herself and nanny Jane's dog ozzy!

After staying at Jane's last week Chloe has been asking everyday to do some crafting, as nanny Jane had given her a file for keepin some Lo in.

Well today while I was waiting for my shopping to be delivered I helped Chloe choose some papers and a couple of toppers for her LO.

I think she really liked doing this and I'm Sure she will grow up with the crafting bug!!

Arty Girlz Challange - Summer

Hopefully I have got this in on time, for the arty girlz challenge this week. The theme this week is summer.

What a great theme, especially as I havn't long come back from my holiday in Paignton. Unfortunately the weather wasn't hot and sunny and we didn't get to spend any time on the beach. So I dug out this photo of my son and daughter on the beach at Cornwall 2 years ago.

I used some co-ordinating papers and brads from "hot off the press", and a couple of toppers from my craft box.

Make over

I love this photo in this Lo. It was taken when my sister won a competition and the prize was a make over for herself and a friend. Luckily enough she invited me to go along with her.

I used background papers in similar colours to the photo, and a couple of toppers that I had in my craft box.

Anniversary

This is a card that I have made for my mum and dads anniversary in september.

I used red vellum, some 3d stickers, a pretty pink ribbon and of course my fab die cutting machine for the lettering.

Best friends

This is a recent layout that I have done of my daughter Chloe and her best friend Amelia.

The photo was taken last year when they was at playgroup. A year later and just finishing there first year at school they are still firm friends and both love Pink.

I done the Lo to try and match in with there painted faces, and of course in pink!!

Arty Girlz Challenge - No patterned paper

This is my card for this weeks challenge.

Lauren who works at the pet shop where I work is leaving this weekend, and I thought this card was ideal for the challenge.

I made the fans from T bag papers, layered onto silver mirri card and then onto purple card. I made to white tassels from thread and attached with silver brads. Down the centre of the card a strip of black velvet paper layered onto a glittery white card strip.

Wording in purple to match in with the fans.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Blue

I have done this LO for the challenge this week. Using papers from Paper Pizazz and some toppers from my box.

The photo is of my son and his best friend, I thought it would be ideal to use this as my son will be feeling blue soon as his best friend is moving away in a couple of weeks. So this is them looking rather mischievious at Longleat last year.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Favourite Song

This was a good challenge which I really enjoyed!

I wanted to do a Lo for this weeks challenge, so started off taking a photo this morning before taking the kids to school.

I have many favourite songs but choose "Father & Son" by Boyzone.

I think the lay out fits the song perfectly.

Silver wedding and a motorbike!!

This card was a real challenge for me.

A lady I work with in the pet shop gets me to make cards for her family and friends. About 4 weeks ago she asked me to make a 25th wedding anniversary card for a couple who likes Harley Davisons. If I could find nothing then he likes golf and she was into computers and phones, hmm this was a challenge.

Usually a 25th anniversary was silver, hearts and flowers etc. So I set out to find a Harley Davison which was hard but eventually I found this postcard from foilplay

I layered it onto silver mirri card and a orange card. I still needed the anniversary feel to the card so I used silver lettering and some sparkly gems, and finished off with a silver heart topper.

Arty Girlz challenge - Nature

Well I finally got here!!

I didn't think that I would do it, but pure determination and here it is my card for this weeks challenge.

I cut the large green leaf and ladybird using a template that I got from a craft magazine. I put this as my centre piece of the card, and used leaf and flower peel offs around and a couple of flower and butterfly gems.

To finish off I used a leaf punch on two of the corners and a green ribbon with butterflies on down one side.

Busy, Busy,Busy

Hello, I am still here!!

I have been very busy this week with work and lots of people have wanted my attention this week! It has been very nice catching up with friends and going shopping.

I did start the Arty Girlz challenge "Nature", which is definately a challenge for me this week, but the time has gone so quickly that I'm not sure wether I will actually finish it. In fact I should say start it as I only really made a ladybird and a leaf using a template that I had. That was as far as I have got!!

I have found that, yes I have become addicted to scrapbooking already! I only have done 3 Lo and half way through a 4th, and I found myself spending a rather large amount of money on papers and scrapbooking kits ready for the vast amount of photo's that I have put into a box ready to go into my book.

Steve & Karoline wedding Lo

I finished this Lo of Steve and Karoline last night. This was a hard one as it took me 2 days to decide on which backing papers to use.
Then it took me about one and half hours to decide how to arrange the photo's.
Eventually I decided on the 2 backing papers, and how the photo's should be positioned then it all fell into place.

I used some nice wedding stickers and a bride and grooms outfit, along with some nice wording.
To finish I used 2 red gerbera flowers that I had left over from making the wedding invitations.

I'm getting the hang of this!!

This is my 2nd lo, and I am really getting the hang of this now.

This is Nathan, my son when he was 18 months old, oh how cute was he with his fluffy hair!!

I used 2 co-ordinating papers in a tan and brown colour, from the "boys to men" papers from Hot off the presss.

I used some tractor toppers on the Lo as he really liked playing with them and cars when he was younger.

The date on this Lo is when the photo was taken.

Footie fan

This card is made for a friend's son.

He will be 13 at the end of this month and he is a football fan.

I layered bazzil card onto mirri card for the background, and used football toppers and wording using my quickutz machine and a peel off happy birthday.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Hint of Pink

I have made a wedding card for the challenge this week.

I used some clear vellum as a wrap leaving a space down the right hand size for my pink wording, cut using the quickutz machine.

I used pink ribbon down the centre and the edge of the vellum. Some pretty rose toppers in the corners and the centre piece.

To match in with the small circular topper I used pink gems around the outside of the card.

My First scrapbook lay out

Well here it is my first ever lay out. I Love making my homemade cards and I shall keep making them but thought I give this a go. Usually my photo's are kept on discs but sometimes it is nice to have them out to show. This photo is of my daughter Chloe which was taken at Steve and Karolines wedding in May. I Used scrap papers in pale green and pink, of course her favourite colour and used my Quickutz machine for the lettering.

Arty Girlz challenge - Faces

This is my card for the challenge this week on faces.

Thinking about faces I didn't think that I would be able to come up with anything as It seemed a tough challenge. That was until I saw this great spongebob faces scrapbooking paper.

I used this on top of silver mirri card, topped with a big spongebob decoupaged in the centre.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Paint

Here Is my first go at a challenge.

I layered bazzill card in several different colours for the background, and used these great toppers that I had in my craft box.
The letters were cut with "Lemonade Skinni Mini" cookie cutters for the Quickutz die cutting machine. I co-ordinated them to go with the colours on the toppers.

Though no paint was used in the making of this Birthday card it still has a paint theme to it.
