Arty Girlz challenge - Nature

Well I finally got here!!

I didn't think that I would do it, but pure determination and here it is my card for this weeks challenge.

I cut the large green leaf and ladybird using a template that I got from a craft magazine. I put this as my centre piece of the card, and used leaf and flower peel offs around and a couple of flower and butterfly gems.

To finish off I used a leaf punch on two of the corners and a green ribbon with butterflies on down one side.

Busy, Busy,Busy

Hello, I am still here!!

I have been very busy this week with work and lots of people have wanted my attention this week! It has been very nice catching up with friends and going shopping.

I did start the Arty Girlz challenge "Nature", which is definately a challenge for me this week, but the time has gone so quickly that I'm not sure wether I will actually finish it. In fact I should say start it as I only really made a ladybird and a leaf using a template that I had. That was as far as I have got!!

I have found that, yes I have become addicted to scrapbooking already! I only have done 3 Lo and half way through a 4th, and I found myself spending a rather large amount of money on papers and scrapbooking kits ready for the vast amount of photo's that I have put into a box ready to go into my book.

Steve & Karoline wedding Lo

I finished this Lo of Steve and Karoline last night. This was a hard one as it took me 2 days to decide on which backing papers to use.
Then it took me about one and half hours to decide how to arrange the photo's.
Eventually I decided on the 2 backing papers, and how the photo's should be positioned then it all fell into place.

I used some nice wedding stickers and a bride and grooms outfit, along with some nice wording.
To finish I used 2 red gerbera flowers that I had left over from making the wedding invitations.

I'm getting the hang of this!!

This is my 2nd lo, and I am really getting the hang of this now.

This is Nathan, my son when he was 18 months old, oh how cute was he with his fluffy hair!!

I used 2 co-ordinating papers in a tan and brown colour, from the "boys to men" papers from Hot off the presss.

I used some tractor toppers on the Lo as he really liked playing with them and cars when he was younger.

The date on this Lo is when the photo was taken.

Footie fan

This card is made for a friend's son.

He will be 13 at the end of this month and he is a football fan.

I layered bazzil card onto mirri card for the background, and used football toppers and wording using my quickutz machine and a peel off happy birthday.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Hint of Pink

I have made a wedding card for the challenge this week.

I used some clear vellum as a wrap leaving a space down the right hand size for my pink wording, cut using the quickutz machine.

I used pink ribbon down the centre and the edge of the vellum. Some pretty rose toppers in the corners and the centre piece.

To match in with the small circular topper I used pink gems around the outside of the card.

My First scrapbook lay out

Well here it is my first ever lay out. I Love making my homemade cards and I shall keep making them but thought I give this a go. Usually my photo's are kept on discs but sometimes it is nice to have them out to show. This photo is of my daughter Chloe which was taken at Steve and Karolines wedding in May. I Used scrap papers in pale green and pink, of course her favourite colour and used my Quickutz machine for the lettering.

Arty Girlz challenge - Faces

This is my card for the challenge this week on faces.

Thinking about faces I didn't think that I would be able to come up with anything as It seemed a tough challenge. That was until I saw this great spongebob faces scrapbooking paper.

I used this on top of silver mirri card, topped with a big spongebob decoupaged in the centre.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Paint

Here Is my first go at a challenge.

I layered bazzill card in several different colours for the background, and used these great toppers that I had in my craft box.
The letters were cut with "Lemonade Skinni Mini" cookie cutters for the Quickutz die cutting machine. I co-ordinated them to go with the colours on the toppers.

Though no paint was used in the making of this Birthday card it still has a paint theme to it.

Wedding Card

This is the card that I made for Steve and Karolines wedding. I am really pleased with it, especially when everyone who saw it said how lovely it is.
I just had to take a photo of it and post it on my blog.

I made this card using 2 shades of pale blue bazzill card, silver Mirri card, silver peel offs and some card toppers that I got from Create and Craft.
The letters were cut using Pale blue bazzill card and the Cosmopolitan Grand Alphabet set for the Quickutz die cutting machine.
